So I figure this would start best with an introduction. My name is Mike and I am a Graphic Designer (Web, Print, Animation, 3D, etc.). I also have a passion for food. I love to eat food in fancy restaurants, hole-in-the-wall dives. I love cooking, all styles. I love reading recipies online, posting my own. I read food blogs and post in food forums. I love all nationalities of food and I consider myself to be a very adventurous eater.
But, most importantly I love the adventure or finding a new, great place. I have been living in Manhattan in Union Square for 3 weeks so far and I have not repeated a location for dinner food yet. OK, I lied. I repeated a place once, but I got something different than I had the first time.
With that being said, I love a great deal on tasty food. My goal for living in NYC has been to always be eating something new and for every meal to be under $10.
And then there’s the name. Foodventure. This is the amalgamation of “Food” + “Adventure” that I find to be the winner combination. Plus, I like to keep the meals under $10 to consider them a true ‘foodventure’.
I have a 3 week backlog of places I have gone to that I will be posting here immediately, so prepare for a rapid influx of posts.
Also, since I am a graphic designer, I will be revamping the appearance of this place very shortly.
