Baoguette Pt. 2

Baoguette

So, I decided to return to Baoguette this evening to try a different dish and decided to eat-in this time. Last time I had the Classic Bahn Mi, but I was really in the mood for some Pho this time. I ordered the Pho Special which states that it is made with: Rare Beef, Brisket, Tendon, and Anise Broth. It also came out with a platter of bean sprouts, jalapeno slices, and a half lime. I prepared mine the way I like it, with lots of jalapeno, lime juice, Sriracha, and Hoisin Sauce. It also had scallions, cilantro, onion in the broth already.

Pho

I will say, I was very impressed with this bowl of Pho. It was massive and to my surprise (because Baoguette is a chain), was delicious. I loved it and if I were in the mood for Pho another day, I would definitely consider returning.

Pho

There was one thing that kind of surprised me though, I did not really find any pieces of rare beef or tendon as I expected (since I specifically order the “Pho Special” as opposed to the other 3 varieties they offer. I would have liked to have some of the rare beef and tendon, but I’m really not complaining since the soup was delicious and there was a pretty decent amount of the beef brisket in the broth.
