A.L.L. Food Cart

ALL Food

On my way over to the new HubBub Coffee Truck, I noticed something… could it be? Yes, another new food cart! I can’t deny myself this opportunity. After my trip to HubBub, I went back to the corner of 38th and Spruce on the East side of Spruce to check it out. Continue reading →

Bui’s Lunch Truck

Bui's

What makes the perfect hangover food? I’d say a big portion, a little bit of spice, a lot’a bit of grease. I suppose that’s why I find myself going to Bui’s so much on weekend mornings. But no, I do not get the famed “Hangover Special”. Instead I order something that can only be gotten at Bui’s. “Pepperoni, Egg, and Cheese with Onions, Salt, Pepper, and Bui’s Sauce (Sriracha Mayo) on a Long Roll”. I literally dream about this sandwich… it is so filling and delicious. Did I mention it’s $3!

I wandered over to Bui’s on this sleepy Sunday morning at just after noon. As usual there is a crowd of generally hungover looking guys in groups of 2 or 3 or 4 waiting for their salvation. Bui’s is a Sunday morning hub where you are bound to see someone you know who is there for the same reason as you, I know I did. After a bit more than 5 minutes my order was ready (somehow before my friend’s order even though he had ordered before me).

Lyn’s

Lyn's

Lyn’s is one of my favorite carts, for a number of reasons including the diversity of the items they make, the quality of the items, the portion, the price and more. I was ready for some breakfast at around 11:00 so I decided to make a stop at Lyn’s. Most carts only make eggs asĀ omelette’s, but Lyn’s will cook the eggs however you’d like so I placed my order of “Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a Short Roll with Sunny-Side Eggs, Not-Well-Done, with Salt, Pepper, and a little bit of Hot Sauce (Sriracha)”. Yeah, a mouthful, but worth it. Continue reading →

Paul’s Da Burger Joint

Paul's

I walked to St. Mark’s with a moaningly hungry stomach and a craving for greasy comfort food. That is exactly why I decided it was a good time to stop in Paul’s to get one of their famed burgers.

I cruised the menu and decided since it was my first visit that I would stay traditional with my order (despite the fact that there were a number of other things that sounded really good) and order a Bacon Cheeseburger medium rare. I sat on a stool at the counter and waited and watched the grill in wonder and amazement as the two cooks pushed out tons of burgers of different varieties, fries, onion rings, and more.
